Welcome to the Greater East Side of St. Paul
Your Voice. Your Community. Your Council.
The Greater East Side — also known as District 2 — is one of 17 official planning districts in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Nestled in the city's vibrant Northeast corner, our district is home to ten diverse and historic neighborhoods: Beaver Lake Heights, East Phalen, Frost Lake, Hayden Heights, Hazel Park, Hillcrest, Lincoln Park, Parkway/Greenbrier, and Phalen Village.
Bounded by Larpenteur Avenue to the north, McKnight Road to the east, Minnehaha Avenue to the south, and Johnson Parkway and the old Burlington Northern railroad berm to the west, the Greater East Side is a place where community pride runs deep.
We strive to strengthen and support the Greater East Side through inclusive community engagement, advocacy, and collaborative leadership that amplifies the voices of all residents.
We strive for a connected, empowered, and thriving community—where every resident has the opportunity to shape a vibrant and equitable future for the Greater East Side.
