Welcome to the Greater East Side—also known as District 2—one of Saint Paul’s 17 official planning districts. Located in the city’s Northeast corner, the Greater East Side is defined by Larpenteur Avenue to the north, McKnight Road to the east, Minnehaha Avenue to the south, and Johnson Parkway along with the old Burlington Northern railroad berm to the west. This vibrant district includes 10 unique neighborhoods: Beaver Lake Heights, East Phalen, Frost Lake, Hayden Heights, Hazel Park, Hillcrest, Lincoln Park, Parkway/Greenbrier, and Phalen Village. Together, they form a diverse and active community that proudly represents the spirit of Saint Paul’s East Side.
